About this tour

Known as the paradise on earth, Srinagar, the summer capital of the state of Jammu & Kashmir, is nestled in the beautiful Kashmir valley, surrounded by soaring snow-clad mountains midst the soft murmur of river Jhelum and idyllic lakes. Jahangir, the Mughal emperor was left spell bound by the beauty of Srinagar. He exclaimed “Gar firdaus, ruhezaminast, haminasto, haminasto, haminasto” i.e. If there is a heaven on earth, it’s here, it’s here, it’s here in Srinagar.


NOTE:- This is a private tour for single traveler, couple or a group of family or friends with your own private vehicle and personal guides and drivers.  You can combine this tour with any of our tours or just customize ot as per your choice.  Please raise a request for the same to us and we will revert to you.


Arrive Srinagar. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel . The afternoon is at leisure.

In the evening enjoy the boat ride by (Shikara) to explore the Dal-lake, waterways, backwaters, canals, floating gardens, vegetable gardens, water lilies, lotus flowers, easily accessible Mobile Vendors, floating handicraft centers & inherited lifestyle of people living inside the Lake since decades. The Shikara ride at sunset on Dal Lake is an unforgettable experience. The evening is at leisure.

Overnight at Srinagar

After breakfast, explore the old and new parts of Srinagar city. Some of the places you will visit are Shah Hamdan mosque, Jama masjid, Hari Parbat Fort & also explore local bazaars.

After lunch proceed to visit the famous, Cheshma Shahi (Royal Spring), Nishat garden (Garden of Pleasure), Shalimar Bagh & Pari Mahal- Mughals laid out in the 16thcentury &these fall along the bank of Dal-Lake in the heart of Srinagar city & Shankarachariya Templesituated on a Hill providing panoramic view of entire city, along with famous Dal- Lake & River Jhelum. The historical Mughal Gardens offer a glimpse into the artistic and cultural grandeur of the Mughal dynasty, showcasing their penchant for symmetry, beauty, and creating serene retreats within nature. Visiting these gardens allows you to step into a world where history, aesthetics, and nature converge in a harmonious embrace. Later return to your hotel and the rest of the evening is at leisure.

After a leisurely breakfast, check-out, and drive to Pahalgam (approx. 4.5 hours drive), en route to visit the Avantipur's ruins.

Avantipur's ruins provide a glimpse into Kashmir's rich history. The town once thrived as a centre of cultural exchange and trade. Its ancient temples and architecture bear the marks of the civilizations that have passed through the region.

Pampore's saffron fields are a continuation of the historical connection Kashmir has had with trade and commerce. The cultivation of saffron in Pampore dates back centuries, and the region's saffron has been sought after by civilizations spanning the Silk Road.

Pahalgam, a picturesque town nestled in the Indian-administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, is a haven of natural beauty and tranquility. Renowned for its lush landscapes, pristine rivers, and serene atmosphere, Pahalgam has captivated travellers for generations. Here's a brief description of Pahalgam. Pahalgam, often referred to as the "Valley of Shepherds," is a charming town situated at an elevation of around 2,130 meters (6,988 feet) above sea level. Nestled along the banks of the Lidder River, Pahalgam offers a breathtaking setting amidst the Himalayan Mountains.

Upon arrival in Pahalgam, check-in to the hotel.

Rest of the evening is at leisure.

Post breakfast, explore this beautiful town. The town is at the junction of the Aru and Sheshnag Rivers and surrounded by soaring, fir-covered mountains with bare, snow-capped peaks rising behind them. The Aru flows down from the Kolahoi glacier beyond Lidderwat while the Sheshnag from glaciers along the great Himalayas.

After a leisurely breakfast, check-out, and drive to Gulmarg (approx. 4 hours’ drive)

The valley of Gulmarg, a large meadow about 3-sq-kms in area, stands at 2,730 metres, 56-km south west of Srinagar. The name means 'Meadow of Flowers' and in the spring it's just that, a rolling meadow dotted with countless colorful Bluebells, Daisies, Forget Me Not's and Buttercups. Enjoy views of Nanga Parbat which is clearly visible 137-km to the north, Haramukh 60-km to the east while to the south one can see the Ferozpore and Sunset Peaks and the Apharwat Ridge. Nanga Parbat, the 'lord of the mountains', is the fourth highest peak on earth at 8,500 metres. Gulmarg's history is deeply rooted in the Mughal era, where emperors like Jahangir were enamoured by its picturesque landscapes. It served as a royal hunting ground and summer retreat for the Mughal elite, who appreciated its cool climate and stunning views.

Gulmarg's history as a skiing destination can be traced back to the early 20th century when British officers established skiing clubs. Today, it's renowned for its winter sports offerings. The vast snow-covered meadows and towering mountains serve as a testament to the adventurous spirit that drew people here even centuries ago.

The Gulmarg Gondola is not only a modern marvel but also a link to the region's history of exploration. As you ascend, you'll trace the footsteps of mountaineers and adventurers who have scaled the Himalayas. The panoramic views from the Gondola are reminiscent of the awe and wonder experienced by explorers who conquered these mountains.

The rest of the day is free for independent activities or enjoy snow activities.

After a leisurely breakfast, check-out and transfer to the Srinagar airport to board the scheduled flight for onwards destination

  • Check-in & check-out time: generally, check in is after 2 pm and check out before 12 pm. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to room availability and may generate additional full day room rate.

  • All airport transfers - by private car. When you arrive in Delhi you will be met by a rep/driver at the airport.

The vehicle used will depend on the size of your group and will range from an air-conditioned car for groups of 2, a Toyota Innova for groups of 3, a minivan for groups of 4-10 people and for groups over 10 a coach will be used.

The best time to visit India is from October through to March. At this time, the weather across India is mostly warm and dry.

India is a large country with a huge range of varying climates. Most of the country is sub tropical with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Below is a very general overview to give you some idea of what to expect.

North India

  • Winter (October to March): The weather in the winter time in North India makes it a pleasant time to travel. It is not too hot nor is it too cold – although in some of the more alpine places it can get chilly – take some warm layers.
  • Summer (April to July): Summers can be hot in North India, particularly in May, June and July. The highs can reach 40°C and the lows drop to around 27°C.
  • Monsoon (July to September): This is when the North sees the most rain.

South India:

  • Winter (October to February): The temperatures are cooler at this time of year on the coastal regions (23°C to 32°C). The areas in the hills can be much cooler (15°C to 21°C).
  • Summer (March to May): Summers can be hot and humid in the South but sea breezes bring down the temperature and it’s a great time to visit the hill stations and tea plantation areas.
  • Monsoon (June to September): The rains start in June and bring the temperatures down. The areas in the hills become misty and lush. The beaches in the South can get choppy.
